25 NSCS Members Awarded Truman Scholarship

Twenty-five members of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) are among the 197 students selected as Truman Scholars for 2011.

April 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Twenty-five members of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) are among the 197 students selected as Truman Scholars for 2011. NSCS is an honor society inviting high-achieving first – and second –year students.

The Truman Scholarship Foundation, which was started in 1977 to honor President Truman, awards each scholar $30,000 for graduate study, priority admission to several elite graduate programs, leadership training, career counseling and internship opportunities within the federal government.

According to the scholarship website “The Truman is a very competitive national scholarship. Each year, the Foundation reviews over 600 applications for our 60 to 65 Scholarships awarded annually.”

The 2011 NSCS members who received this esteemed award are:
