Award Winning Pianist Fiona Joy Hawkins Begins US Tour

Fiona Joy Hawkins, winner of four award winning albums, is set to begin her US tour. Fiona’s tour will begin on April 16, 2011 in Tustin, CA, to perform with Kori Carothers and Denise Young – two brilliant artists in their own right! This is a rare opportunity to see these three artists on the same stage.

Discovered by Will Ackerman in 2008 after winning Album of the Year in the NAR Awards on a keyboard and from a field including George Winston, Fiona had the opportunity to travel to Vermont to record an album at his Imaginary Road Studios.

In 2010 Fiona received prestigious awards in an unprecedented three categories in the Zone Music Reporters Awards, Album of the Year, Best Contemporary Instrumental Album, and Best Instrumental Album - Piano (twice), and the CD Baby Top World albums, landing 15th over 10,233 other World albums. Worth noting Fiona's "Blue Dream" remains in the top 10 selling New Age Albums on CDBaby. Fiona has been an ARIA Finalist, Best Dance/Dub/Club Album as well as winning the MusicOZ Award for Best Classical/Jazz Artist in 2008. She has had over 38 nominations in Indie Artist Awards across 9 countries.

Fiona is back to break records with a new album “600 Years in a Moment” which she’s recording on a Stuart & Sons piano. Uniquely the piano has 102 keys as opposed to the standard 88, and one can definitely hear and feel the depth in Fiona’s music as a result. Recently a song (Earthbound) from the upcoming album was featured on NPR (National Public Radio) and Fiona received thousands of emails asking where it could be obtained.
