Just because gas and food prices are skyrocketing and everyone is slashing way at their hobbies and leisure activities doesn't mean that you have to cut out the kid's martial arts training. A Martial Arts School in Fort Worth may have the answer.

April 7, 2011 - PRLog -- With monthly Children's packages starting at $28 a month and $10 registration fees, The Academy of Combat Application Techniques may just have the lowest tuition fees in town. On top of the monthly fees which are only a fraction of their competitor's they offer flexible payment plans. Student tuition can be paid by the class, the week or the month with no binding contracts. For many already involved in Martial Arts training they may verywell understand the contracts. Many businesses force their clients into signing binding contracts that hold the student or guardian responsible for paying the monthly fee even if they do not attend. They are also forced to pay a deposit at many schools.

This Martial Arts Training center located in Sansom Park has a different approach. "We know that times are tough, and that for many the martial arts classes are the first thing to go when its budget crunch time. Although it's still a business; I don't believe that we need to goudge prices or try to rape our clients at the drive through with deposits or contracts." Says Andy Curtiss the Owner and Cheif Instructor at The Academy of Combat Application Techniques. On top of the great rates for kid's martial arts they also offer very competative rates for adult Mixed Martial Arts training as well. "Most places are asking between 90 to 180 dollars a month. Some places on the low end are asking for 130 to 150 dollars a month. We start at 40 and work our way up to 80. That's not to say we don't have higher end packages, but most people will only attend 16 sessions a month or less.  Either way, we aren't raping our clients like alot of those other places", Curtiss comented.

The name Academy of Combat Application Techniques comes from the title of the book that Curtiss published in 2008. Curtiss' book Combat Application Techniques : Principles of Destruction is based on the knife and hand to hand combat program he developed while serving in the Army Special Forces. Along with Kid's Martial Arts, Mixed Martial Arts and Women's Awareness and Self Protection classes, the school will also offer Military Knife and Hand to Hand Combat Training to select personnel. Andrew Curtiss holds a 3rd Degree blackbelt in Moo Duk Kwan, a 2nd Degree blackbelt in Shurite Kempo, a brown belt in Kano Jujitsu and has over 20 years as a wrestler and 15 years as a European rules and Muay Thai kickboxer. Curtiss has also attended several military martial arts and close protection courses. The Academy of Combat Application Techniques opens its doors in June 2011 and is located at 5840 - C Jacksboro Highway, Fort Worth Texas. Their website is http://combatacademy.zoomshare.com/0.html
