The 2nd Annual Films for the Forest Film Festival is now accepting short film entries from all over the globe to help provide a practical means for everyone to help save the rainforest. The film festival is being put on by Rainforest Partnership, an international non-profit committed to protecting rainforests by developing sustainable economic alternatives to deforestation. Last year's festival was a huge success, bringing in over $10,000 in donations and entries from as far away as India.

This year’s theme is “Breath of the Planet” and participants are encouraged to get creative and interpret that however they like. The 3-Minute Film Competition will be streamed LIVE online so that the whole world can experience the festival. Local Austin bands will provide entertainment while attendees enjoy free entry to the Festival, panel discussions and films.

For more information on how to enter or other practical ways that you can help save the rainforest, visit the Films for the Forest Film Festival website, Facebook page or Twitter feed.
