Global Christian "Gathering Of The Church" Brings Surprise Blessings To Planners And Participants

April 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Around the world, Christians involved in spreading information about "11/11/11-The Gathering of the Church," which will occur November 11, 2011, at 11AM, on the National Mall, in Washington, DC, are being surprised by unexpected blessings. They are finding that the event, which is being planned in coordination with the District of Columbia Branch of the US National Park Service, is generating some benefits they did not consider, when they started their work in support of the Christian gathering.

A San Pablo, CA church recently held their 11/11/11 outreach event. They focused on being a "Seed Church," and sent out teams looking for churches located in the neighborhoods around them. As the teams travelled, they reported the joy of finding churches "we didn't know were there." Teams were encouraged, and told, "You're doing exactly what God wants us to do!" They found churches, small and large, that they had never seen, or, noticed. "It gave us a sense of how much more Jesus had done that we hadn't been aware of. He has built a lot of churches. Praise the Lord!"

Other planners and participants are finding unity with brothers and sisters in other countries.
Robert Berry, the National Coordinator of One Church // One Voice, the organization planning "The Gathering of the Church," spoke of recent contacts he had made with Christians in Hyderabad, India and Scotland. "Hyderabad! Scotland! I really feel the global scope, and, the reach, of the Gospel of Jesus Christ," said Berry, who also stated that he has been alternating between feeling: "Like Moses, when he tried to find an excuse not to go to Pharaoh; and, Moses, leading the Hebrews across the parted waters." "This is a massive undertaking, especially for a disabled guy on a fixed income; but believe, in your soul, Jesus did, indeed, call me to do this. But, He, Jesus Christ, is gathering the Church, not me," Berry emphasized!

The global worship and prayer event will also have Prayer Warrior Churches, and, Individual Prayer Warriors, praying for the plight of the world and the church, during the ten-hour services. Musicians and clergypersons are still needed to lead worship, and deliver messages to the assembled pilgrims, on November 11th, 2011.
