Three engine choices are available under the hood of the 2011 Ford Fusion. Choices for the engine include: a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine and a 3.5-liter six-cylinder engine. Also available is an all-wheel drive but only on select V6 models.

The base 2.5-liter inline-four-cylinder delivers 175 horsepower and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The 3.0-liter engine is larger and produces 240 horsepower. The 3.0-liter is available on SE and SEL models.  The 3.5-liter V6 engine produces 263 horsepower and is the most powerful out of the three engines.

The 2011 Ford Fusion comes with soft-touch materials throughout its interior. The seats are carefully made to ensure comfort for all passengers as well as the driver. Even the dash is designed to be driver-oriented with controls that are within reach and easily accessible.  

Ford holds an advantage over many of it competitors when it first introduced its distinctive feature, the SYNC system. The SYNC system allows drivers to control most climate and entertainment functions including Bluetooth-enabled cell phones and mp3 players with voice commands. The SYNC system also provides turn-by-turn directions without the need for a navigation screen.

Another standout feature from Ford is its MyKey system. Ford’s MyKey system is a unique feature that comes standard on all 2011 Ford Fusions. The MyKey feature is a program that aimed at helping young people drive safely. With the MyKey system, it limits speed to 80mph, limits radio volume to 45 percent, provides low fuel warnings and also chimes when seat belts are not buckled!  This feature is extremely useful for parents with teenagers.
