ELCON joins the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF)

MEF membership underlines ELCON´s technology know-how in the field of Carrier Ethernet

April 5, 2011 - PRLog -- April 5th 2011, Hartmannsdorf: ELCON Systemtechnik, the leading supplier of optimized network access equipment for cable and telecommunication network operators, has become a member of the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF).
With its Business Access Gateway products for highly available symmetrical bandwidth ELCON offers network devices which are fully compliant with the MEF-specifications.

The Business IP Gateways (BIG) from the ELCONnect product family enable outstanding options for SHDSL, VDSL2 and Gigabit Fiber roll out. ELCON’s Gateways are the perfect solution for data transfer in a Metro Ethernet scenario, for Internet Cloud Services, such as web-based storage applications, the connection of external locations to a headquarters via virtual local area networks (VLAN), and for prioritized voice and video transmission services.
