April 3, 2011 - PRLog -- Soundtrack "The American Way" [1] on AirPlay Direct from the Album "Country Goes Global" supports relief efforts coordinated through Humanitarian Resource Institute and the United Nations Arts Initiative.

Recently, intensive advocacy initiatives through the United Nations Arts Initiative have focused on the protection of victims of war crimes and crimes against humanity to the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear emergency in Japan.

As the size and scope of the crisis in Japan became clear, Country Music Association Artist H-II: Stephen Michael Apatow, stepped up appeals to members of the arts and entertainment industry to help coordinate:

-- Communications support to address the logistical challenges through ReliefWeb. [2]
--  Engagement of the world top physicians, veterinarians and scientist's to confront the radiological emergency that continues to spiral out of control, with widespread atmospheric, seawater and ecological contamination. [3]
--  Emergency appeals for debt relief to assist with the $300 Billion ($300,000 Million) price tag. [4]
--  Fundraising support through Interaction: Relief agencies working in Japan. [5]

Contacted in late March by the Country Music Association CloseUp Magazine for CMA Honors, the connection represented the first breakthrough for support of H-II: Stephen Michael Apatow and the United Nations Arts Initiative by the music or entertainment  industry.  Currently support on the Medical, Veterinary and Bar Association levels in 192 UN member countries, represents the medical, veterinary and legal arts contributors, that have taken the lead role in global "Arts Integration Into Education" initiatives.

Eventually, the hope is for the arts and entertainment industry to become engaged in the unmet needs that impact their fans, both here in the United States and abroad.  Beyond fundraiser's, is the need for direct contact with the frontline service programs working in target demographic areas.  Once we get a grasp of the needs landscape and organizations working on the front lines, we can focus on the unmet needs and strategic plans to address them.

When discussing emergencies like a $50 Billion ($50,000 Million) global food crisis or the projected cost of $300 Billion ($300,000 Million) for the Japan earthquake, tsunami and radiological emergency, it is clear we need to strategize action plans that are proportional to the needs.  In conjunction with fundraisers, donations of professional time, talents and inkind donations can replace $ Millions in contributions, while an appeal for debt relief, $ Billions through targeted advocacy initiatives.
