By: NJMET The America Red Cross has been providing financial and logistical support to the Japanese Red Cross since the earthquake occurred. It has been providing immediate relief in the areas of health care and emotional support to the victims of the earthquake and tsunami. The American Red Cross anticipates providing financial resources for longer term recovery projects as well. “Our sponsorship means that a portion of proceeds from testing and procurement projects will be presented to the American Red Cross on December 31, 2011,” said Joseph Federico. “It’ NJMET’s annual Red Cross sponsorship is one of several charitable efforts at NJMET. Other recent projects through the Red Cross include efforts to help those in Haiti, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
