Premier Beverage finalizes purchase of former Appleton Paper building in Edwardsville, Kansas

March 30, 2011 - PRLog -- (KANSAS CITY, Mo.) Zimmer President David J. Zimmer, SIOR, FRICS has completed three significant deals during the month of March.

Premier Beverage, a wholly owned subsidiary of Glazer’s of Kansas, one of the State’s largest wine, spirits and beer distributors, has purchased an industrial building at 1100 Blake Street, Edwardsville, Kansas.  The building formerly occupied by Appleton Paper Company contains 245,000 square feet of distribution space and was owned by M&I Regional Properties, LLC, the real estate arm of M&I Marshall & Ilsley Bank of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Premier Beverage will use the building as a distribution facility for their Kansas line of beverages.  Premier’s parent company, Glazer’s Distributors, is an industry leader in the distribution of beverages with over $3 billion in annual revenues. Zimmer represented M&I Properties in sale negotiations, along with Whitney Kerr, Jr., SIOR, of Cassidy Turley, who represented Premier Beverage.  

Welch & Wilson, LLC has leased a 146,000 square foot industrial building at 1300 Quebec Street, North Kansas City, Missouri from Zimmer Realty Company.  Welch & Wilson is a third-party logistics provider headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana and will be providing warehousing and transportation services for commercial insulation accounts.  The building is owned by Zimmer Realty Company.  Zimmer represented the building ownership in lease negotiations, while Mark Long and Tracey Mann represented Welch & Wilson.

Univar USA, Inc. has extended its lease at 1123 Bedford Streeet, North Kansas City, Missouri. Univar is the leading chemical distribution company in the United States, with sales in excess of $4.2 billion. The warehouse in North Kansas City is used as a distribution point for pest control related items. Zimmer handled lease negotiations along with Pat McGannon, SIOR, of Kessinger/Hunter.
