Construction Disputes to be addressed at Doha Masterclass

March 29, 2011 - PRLog -- Doha, Qatar, March 29th 2011 - Hill International and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) have announced that the internationally acclaimed Masterclass in Construction Contract Delay and Disruption will be held in Doha for the first time on May 9 and 10 this year.
In recent years, despite rapid changes and improvements in technological solutions, a number of surveys and examinations have demonstrated that delay and disruption in complex projects remains the biggest single cause of legal disputes in the construction industry. A survey by the CIOB demonstrated that 18% of complex projects were completed more than 6 months late. 95% of survey respondents felt that training in the subject was unsatisfactory. *
For these reasons, the CIOB continues to work with Hill, to present Masterclasses throughout the world. The events bring together legal and technical experts from around the world, including Dr Franco Mastrandrea of Hill International, Mark Blanksby, partner at Clyde & Co, Peter Fraser QC of Atkin Chambers, and Terry de Souza Partner at Berwin Leighton Paisner and many others.
