"Any Woman Competition" Seeks Nominees To Expand Canada Beauty Standards To Reflect Inner Beauty

March 29, 2011 - PRLog -- Edmonton/Northern Alberta-- Recognizing the need in today's society to celebrate and promote only a woman's exterior beauty, Fashion Has No Borders, Toronto Fashion Incubator, and the Ben Barry Agency have partnered to sponsor a new type of Canada beauty contest called the Any Woman Competition. Instead of focusing on how a woman looks strutting down a runway in a bathing suit or evening gown, the Any Woman Competition is open to any woman 18 or older who wishes to display her inner beauty, talent, philosophy, and elegance.

The competition's key message is that, "Any Woman Can Change Tomorrow, Today." This phrase, coupled with the inner beauty focus of the competition, encourages the empowerment of women while helping the younger generation realize there is strength and beauty in self-worth and self-confidence. The contest is being run nationwide, with four main hubs of entries: Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, and Toronto.

The Any Woman Competition began in Calgary in 2009, and has quickly garnered national recognition. The prizes for the winner of the 2011 competition include a one year contract with the Ben Barry Agency, the national title, an all-inclusive trip for two to Breezes Resort & Spa compliments of SuperClubs, the Any Woman bracelet designed by Holly Allan Designs, a professional photo shoot, a four piece luggage set, a professional wardrobe consultation, being featured in national advertising, and much more. The first and second winners receive a plaque and cash award, and all participants receive an award for being nominated.
