March 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Trio Plus, the temporary floor protection products specialist, has inked deals with three TV production  companies this month. The contracts will see a range of hard floor and carpet protection solutions being used during filming of a slew of sitcoms and dramas.

The Surrey firm’s carpet protection film has been used during filming of the new ITV factual drama, Appropriate Adult. Telling the story of how Rosemary and Fred West were brought to justice, the drama stars Dominic West and Emily Watson. The production team behind filming chose Trio Plus standard carpet protection film to protect carpets while shooting on location.

The film offers a month and a half protection against spills, dirt and grime and is supplied on handy rolls. When needed it is simply rolled out, with the self-adhesive backing sticking to the surface of the carpet. The adhesive leaves no residue when removed and is eco-friendly. The impenetrable film then sits on top of the carpet, preventing damage from heavy foot traffic, liquids and mess.

A carpet protector is also being used alongside a Trio Plus temporary hard floor protection product during filming of the new sitcom, Naked Apes, this month. The Channel 4 comedy is being filmed on location in Leeds and stars Kayvan Novak, Rhys Thomas and Richard Madden.
Functioning in the same way as the carpet protector, the hard floor protection also sits atop the surface of the floor and is used to protect the wood from heavy foot traffic, spillages, dirt and even builder’s mess. The felt topside and polythene backing are anti-slip and reusable, so the floor protector can be rolled up when work is finished and then taken to a second location to be laid again.
Finally, a 3000 m2 order of premium fleece hard floor protection will be used during filming of the BBC drama, New Tricks this month. The series stars Amanda Redman, Dennis Waterman, James Bolam and Alun Armstrong as an unlikely team of sleuths. The white premium fleece is easy to sweep clean and sports a white, non-abrasive, non-woven top layer. It is used to protect hard floors such as real wood flooring and is supplied on reusable, non-slip rolls.
