New iPhone App Uses Camera To Pause Your Music When Motion Is Detected

March 30, 2011 - PRLog -- In the modern office environment, employees often wear headphones at their desk.  They do this to enjoy their music and to block out distractions in the office.  Desks are commonly positioned to face away from doorways and busy hallways to further reduce distractions.  These measures reduce unintended interruptions, but at a cost.  Employees are more isolated.  

Employees often don’t realize when they have a visitor to their desk.  Additionally, the office visitor doesn’t know if the employee is actively listening to their music.  This leads to awkward situations, or worse, work related conversations that don’t happen because they didn’t want to go to the trouble of interrupting someone.  

To deal with this situation, Dynovations, Inc. has created the iPauseMusic application available for the iPhone / iPod / iPad.  It uses one of the device's cameras to monitor the entry area of an office, cube or room.  When entry is detected, the music is paused and your visitor is shown a PAUSED message to let them know they can speak and be heard.

iPauseMusic only triggers from motion in the user specified area and completely ignores  other motion.

 - In a noisy place with noise canceling headsets, even if you are not listening to music. When someone enters the designated area, a chime plays, alerting you to their presence.
 - At the airport to rest your eyes while it keeps an eye on your luggage or the gate. The optional trigger sound will notify you of movement, even if the audio is paused.
 - Without headphones and the chime sound turned on. Whenever someone enters your area, the chime will play.
