March 29, 2011 - PRLog -- Daniela Freda is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner with a special emphasis in Women’s Health and Wellness issues.  Freda earned her MS in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  In her private practice in San Francisco, CA, Freda integrates acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine and nutrition to address women’s health concerns. She offers a natural approach for issues, including easing PMS and menstrual cramps, regulating cycles, preparing for pregnancy, and migraine.

Although TCM has been widely practiced in Asia for over 2,000 years, it is an emerging alternative to traditional western medicine. Freda believes a key to the success experienced by her patients is education.

“I believe in educating my patients so that they can be directly involved in their own healing process,” says Freda; “Through this collaborative process my patients are motivated to healthier ways of living. They are able to make choices that overcome health obstacles, which have previously stopped them from enjoying full and vibrant lives.”

As a teenager, Freda knew that she wanted a career related to health care and was especially interested in nutrition, herbal medicine and multi-cultural approaches to medicine.   She was a pre-med student at Brandeis University when she stumbled into TCM.

Volunteering at a non-profit acupuncture clinic, Freda was immediately amazed by the power of TCM to transform people’s health.  She knew that practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine is what she wanted to do with her life.

In addition to practicing TCM, Freda is passionate about sharing her knowledge of TCM and whole food nutrition for natural healing. She not only makes it a point to educate her patients, but she also speaks at health and wellness workshops in the SF Bay Area. And she generously shares her expertise with the readers of the SF BAWJ.

“Daniela’s expertise gained through education, training and experience; is the perfect foundation for the educational information she shares in her articles.” said Debbie Josendale, Publisher, San Francisco Bay Area Woman's Journal http://www.bayareawj.com. “Alternative Medicine is an important and emerging trend in health care.  Many people are skeptical, confused or curious about TCM.  Daniela unravels the mysteries of TCM by writing helpful articles with actionable tips that our readers can apply in their own lives.”
