QOOP Launches Self Publishing Contest for Aspiring and Established Writers
QOOP's Self Publishing Contest is expected create authors of many new and existing site users.
By: Mike Richardson
Phil Wessells, QOOP’s President, said, “Last quarter we did a similar contest for photographers making photo calendars using our on-demand print tools with great success. This month we launch a series of Self Publishing contests for the writers of the World on QOOP. It has never been easier for owners of digital content to get published, distributed and compensated in this new era of digital printing.”
The contest is monthly with a grand prize winner each month getting (25) copies of their winning entry as printed books. There will also be (3) Honorable Mentions each month receiving (5) copies of their books.
“The on-demand publishing tools from QOOP really help to level the playing field for the smaller authors and publishers. Upload a .pdf, create a book listing and start selling your works…it doesn’t get any easier than that”, says Mike Richardson, Community Organizer at QOOP.
Similar to the contest last year for photo calendars, it is expected that the publishing contest will attract many who don't even consider themselves authors. "I was one of the winners in the Calendar photo contest with my surf photos, and now I'm planning on putting together a book entry for the publishing contest", says Matthew Diamond of Jacksonville, FL.
New entrants for the monthly free contest can upload their documents directly to QOOP and then create their book listing at QOOP.com. Users will find a simple book creator interface at QOOP with editorial control over each element. After the creation process, simply save the listing to your QOOP store and fill out the listing with titles, tags, description, and set your royalty. QOOP offers a simple online video to show content owners how easy it is to create books and other product listings.
