Faster CR-Z Due Out Next Year

March 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Honda has confirmed a quicker version of the Honda CR-Z to come out next year giving the Honda enthusiast something to look forward to.

Honda has stated a faster CR-Z will come out when the next-generation IMA hybrid system arrives. Although they are keeping it hush hush abou the engine, people are speculating a model with 160 hp gas and electric. Also, Honda R&D chief Tomohiko Kawanabe says the company leaning toward a naturally-aspirated set up because it will work better with the hybrid drive.

Kawanabe also indicates most of the new power to come form an improved electric motor. This soon-to-be-named sportier CR-Z will come of age soon enough when the new hybrid system comes to our shores in 2012.
