Feldman Orthodontics Announces 21st Annual Scholarship Essay Competition

March 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Feldman Orthodontics, Tampa’s #1 Orthodontist for over 28 years, is pleased to announce that they are now accepting applications and essays for their 21st annual Feldman Orthodontics Scholarship Essay Competition.  

Dr. Randy Feldman has awarded the Feldman Orthodontics Scholarship to over 40 graduating seniors from local high schools during the past 20 years.  Two scholarships are given to outstanding graduating seniors in recognition of their potential to both excel in their future endeavors and to become a contributing member of their community.  Dr. Feldman is committed to giving something back to the community and recognizing those individuals with the potential to continue with that legacy of service.  

“The Feldman Orthodontics Scholarships provide financial support to graduating seniors from local high schools who demonstrate academic excellence and a commitment to their community,” said Dr. Feldman.  “We know we have many fine graduating seniors who meet the criteria and we are excited to recognize the recipients of this award.”

The scholarships will be given to the individuals who meet all of the qualifying criteria and submit the winning essays in response to the question of, “What a Smile Means to Me.”  

In addition to the essay, applicants must have maintained a cumulative state grade point average of 2.5 or better, have achieved a minimum SAT score of 1000 or minimum ACT score of 22, submit a letter of recommendation from their school and have a letter of acceptance from a college of their choice.  In addition, the recipients must commit to attending the presentation dinner to receive their award in person.

The application deadline for the Feldman Orthodontics Scholarship Essay Competition is April 15, 2011.  Applications must be mailed by April 13, 2011 or hand delivered to the office by April 15, 2011.
