Healers in Eureka Springs Offer Spring Events

Eureka Springs' healers are welcoming the new season with a variety of events.

March 21, 2011 - PRLog -- EUREKA SPRINGS- A Community Healing Circle is planned for March 24, at Circle of Light, 3969 Mundell Rd. The ceremony will be facilitated by Jim Two-Feathers and Lorraine May. Participants are invited to bring drums and rattles. Diomo Books is calling for submissions of personal stories between 100 and 500 words for the Hardline Self-Help series of books. Deadline is April 2, for the Hardline Self-Help Handbook: What Are You Willing to Do to Get What You Really Want? Calling all goddesses to a gala gourmet dance party and drumming April 7 at Annie’s Boutique in the New Orleans Hotel. Tickets are available from the hotel at 479-253-8844 and from Fire Om Earth Studio, 479-981-0515. Creative, artful costumes are encouraged and a face painting table will be provided. Bring a drum or rattle and a gourmet dish with a list of ingredients to share at the potluck feast at 6 p.m.  Participants should also bring beverages for the evening and seeds to bless, if so desired. All profits will benefit the Merlin Foundation for abused children and troubled teens.
The ceremony starts at 7:30 p.m. Music, tribal dance music and drumming round out the evening. Advance tickets are recommended.

The book is an anthology about issues related to the end of the Mayan calendar in 2012 and discusses related prophecies. It is now in its second printing since its release in December.

Martha Nichols of Healing Touch is still offering sessions for donation only and will do them as outcalls, or at Laughing Hands on Wednesday. She needs 16 more sessions to have enough to apply for her certification. Make an appointment at 479-253-5707.
Deerwomon and Heart to Heart are offering an energetic, vibrational sound healing session and transitioning assistance for those beginning their walk home in either the physical of spiritual realm. Lorna Trigg Hirsch is once again offering her Women be Wise event on April 2 and 3. Hirsch says the event encourages women to tap into the primal, tribal self through honoring the sacred way of ritual and celebration.  Workshops and discussions will focus on live and sprouted foods, creativity projects, empowerment, and Native corn wisdom.
A sweat lodge will take place Saturday evening.

Steven Jones, a UK resident touring the United States, is a modern-day ET contact experiencer, and he helps others to understand what Contact really is.  He will hold a workshop on his topic Tuesday, April 12 at the Retreat a Sky Ridge. Fees are by donation.

An exploration of Sufi tradition healing is set for April 15-17 in Eureka Springs, led by Melissa Clare, Ustad Ghulam Farid Nizami and friends. Meditation, Dances for Universal Peace and sharing around the fire are  highlights of the event. It begins Friday evening, April 15, at the Unitarian Universal Church, Elk St., at 7 p.m., with sessions exploring the Sufi tradition on Saturday and Sunday.
The weekend, including a concert, costs $85 in advance; $105 after April 1.  The concert alone is $15. Meals and lodging are not included.
