March 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Artist Tara Reed expects her 7th year exhibiting at the SURTEX art licensing show to be one of the best ever.  The show, to be held May 15-17, 2011 at the Jacob Javitz Center in the heart of New York City, represents the pinnacle marketing event for Tara Reed Designs, Inc. – the art licensing company that bares her name, each year.

“SURTEX has been amazing for my business,” Reed begins, “To be able to meet face to face, with hundreds of manufacturers under one roof is amazing.”  Reed attributes over 75% of her business to first contact on a trade show floor.  “I won’t lie – things have been harder in the past few years with the economy and retailers struggling – that all trickles back to artists like me.  But I believe things are turning around and that this year’s show will be one of the best yet!”

The studio in Portland, Oregon has been gearing up – creating new art that will be shown for the first time at the SURTEX show.  New variations on common themes like pets, wine and food will be part of Reed’s offering as well as a few fun surprises.  “I believe my art gets that much stronger each year as I learn even more about what manufacturers are looking for and what sells well in the marketplace.”  Reed is a keen observer of market trends and listens to feedback from clients and consumers.
