Northern Outdoors Launches Innovative Fundraising Events With Maine Rafting
Northern Outdoors is launching Fundraiser Fridays, an innovative new way to do non-profit fundraising, build community and have fun through whitewater rafting on Maine’s popular Kennebec River.
"We are really pleased to help charities with their 2011 fundraising efforts through our new Fundraiser Fridays program. It’s a win for charity fundraising efforts and a win for participants,"
On every Friday throughout the 2011 Maine rafting season, Northern Outdoors will contribute $20 to the designated charity for any group of eight or more people who nominate that charity as their chosen Fundraiser Friday Beneficiary. Groups must pre-register in advance of their trip and each member nominates the designated non profit as their Fundraiser Friday Beneficiary at the time of their reservation. The funds can add up fast for a group! For example, if a group brings 100 people rafting with Northern Outdoors on the Kennebec, Northern Outdoors will write the designated charity a check for $2,000 – what a great way to have fun with friends and help raise money for the non profit organization of your choice!
Northern Outdoors is committed to the outdoors and to assisting others where they can. Their philosophy is to work together to raise funds for those non profit organizations that help others. Northern Outdoors created Fundraiser Fridays after watching a partner who has experienced tremendous success with non profit fundraisers using a similar concept at their adventure sports park. President Russell Walters adapted it for Northern Outdoors using its popular activity of whitewater rafting on Maine’s Kennebec River.
