Free Workshop in Corte Madera, for homeowners who are threatened with foreclosure.

Saturday, March 26, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Corte Madera Recreation Center, Hannah Fliegel of Foreclosure Options Network will be teaching the workshop along with additional real estate expert presenters.

“Marin County is not immune to the housing correction, and we will continue to see price declines into 2012,” said Fliegel.  The Foreclosure Options Workshop will provide homeowners with a variety of options and potential solutions.   Attendees will learn about recourse loans vs. non-recourse loans and how to avoid a deficiency judgment, tax implications as well as a technique for protecting a borrower’s credit.

Fliegel adds, “I provide attendees with a full understanding of where they are vulnerable and where they have leverage in order to make the best decision for both short and long term planning.”  Whether homeowners are under water – owing more than their home is worth or struggling to make mortgage payments – we will provide options leading to solutions.  “I personally find it so sad, that many of the attendees are saddled with so much debt”, said Fliegel.  She adds that many previous families who have attended are in ‘debt management mode’ where they are just paying their debt on a monthly basis but are in no way able to save money and invest that money to provide any financial future.  Fliegel hopes to shed some light on this topic through the upcoming workshop.
