Defence Estates Enlists Mark Group as Energy Saving Expert

March 17, 2011 - PRLog -- Defence Estates (DE) has awarded energy saving specialist Mark Group, contracts worth £2.2 million to install external wall insulation measures on properties at Strensall Park, York and Poole in Dorset.

The two contracts have been awarded to Mark Group as the UK’s largest installer of energy saving measures, as the Ministry of Defence (MOD) strives to improve the thermal efficiency of its housing stock nationwide.

The properties at both sites are of solid wall construction and external wall insulation measures installed by Mark Group will not only help to reduce the MOD’s carbon emissions, but also lower energy bills, improve comfort levels for residents and regenerate the external appearance of the properties.

Work is already well underway at Strensall Park and Mark Group will start installing measures at Poole later in the spring.
