“I am both delighted and honored at becoming the first Maui Wowi Master Franchisee in Europe,” said Paul. “I decided it was time to take control of my own destiny and embarked upon a journey of discovery within the franchising sector.” After researching numerous franchise options, Paul felt that the uplifting spirit, vibrant colors and the dual coffee and smoothie concept of Maui Wowi Hawaiian would be quickly accepted in Dublin. The first unit will be situated in the heart of Dublin at the Jervis St. Shopping Center.  The area, which is known as one of Dublin’s busiest and most fashionable districts, is anchored by big name retailers that will drive thirsty customers toward Maui Wowi’s superb coffee and smoothie products.  

Paul’s vision for the future is to open between 25 and 30 stores within the next 18 to 36 months.  This would create over 180 jobs in an economy that has been tumultuous throughout the past few years. In a tough economic climate, Paul was able to secure funding through banks that were eager to support the concept.  “The Maui Wowi brand was strong enough to convince them,” said Paul. “You cannot get financing here, but we did.”

Paul has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality and catering industry in both Ireland and the U.S.  He spent 10 years working in both Denver, Colorado and New York with Hilton Hotels and Writer’s Manor as well as holding senior executive roles with iconic Irish brands, including Bewley’s Cafes. His knowledge of the Catering and Café sector in Ireland will provide a valuable background for his newest venture working with premium quality Kona coffee and all natural fresh fruit smoothies offered with value in mind.  

His impressive background and passion for the service industry make him a great fit in the Maui Wowi ‘Ohana or family.
