March 16, 2011 - PRLog -- (March 15, 2011) Purchase, New York ……….. Paper Jam 3, an annual auction and dinner party to benefit the Neuberger Museum of Art, will be held at the museum on Saturday evening, April 2. It is an art collector's fantasy.  Whether you are an established or beginning collector, you can acquire work during the Silent and Live auctions from some of the hottest contemporary artists at some of the coolest prices anywhere. Among the over fifty works made of paper, or that incorporate paper -- paintings, prints, photographs, drawings, collages, and sculptures – is art by: (alphabetical listing) Milton Avery, Nancy Azara,  Kristopher Benedict, Louisa Chase, Sarah Charlesworth, Shepard Fairey, Louis Faurer, Ralph Gibson, Jane Hammond, Damien Hirst, Jenny Holzer, John Kalymnios, Deborah Kass, Kelly McLane, Judy Pfaff, Dana Schutz, Susanna Starr, Ursula von Rydingsvard, Joyce Wenglowski, Kevin Zucker, and others. All works are displayed on the Museum’s website at www.neubeger.org through April 2, 2011, and are on view at the Museum beginning March 21.  (One must attend Paper Jam 3 in order to participate in the auctions.)

Another highlight of the evening is a limited raffle for Flower, a bronze sculpture by Hans Van de Bovenkamp, an internationally-renowned architectural designer and sculptor, whose works can be seen in many public, civic, corporate, and private collections. Only 50 raffle tickets at $150 are available; the estimated value of the piece is $7,500. The Museum is also offering a private studio tour with artist Dana Schutz, which will be part of the auction.
Funds raised provide essential support for the Neuberger Museum of Art’s education, outreach, public programs, and exhibitions.

Paper Jam 3 is chaired by Tony Maddalena and Sara Vance Waddell. The evening begins with cocktails and ‘dinner by the bite’ at 6 p.m., during which time one can bid on works in the Silent Auction. The Live Auction begins at 8:30 pm, followed by dessert and checkout at 9:30 pm.  Tickets for Paper Jam 3 begin at $150 each for the party and auction. Sponsorships are $6,000, $4,000, and $1500. Other packages include tickets and journal ads. For further information, please call Karen Riddell at 914-251-6118 or send her an e-mail at karen.riddell@purchase.edu.
