The bands will play a number of live shows across the nation during their 2011 tour.
By: Lek Boonlert Gerry & The Pacemakers made their mark back in the 60s, but have remained relevant through the decades. Originally from Liverpool, they were the first act to ever reach number one in the UK Singles Chart with their first three releases. Hailing from the same area as the Beatles is no small weight to bear, but Gerry & The Pacemakers have lived up to that prestigious beginning. Their first song, How Do You Do It? reached number one in the UK. Their next two singles, I Like It and You’ll Never Walk Alone, fared similarly, each reaching number one on the UK Singles Chart. The Pacemakers will be in good company on the first of April when they play with Herman’s Hermits. Also a British beat band, Herman’s Hermits burst onto the scene in the 60s with a cover of Earl Hean’s I’m Into Something Good. This hit rose to number one on the UK Singles Chart. The band also produced three top hits in the US.
