Munger Construction Completes Restaurant Renovation

March 14, 2011 - PRLog -- Branford, CT; The Jesse Camille's Restaurant borough-owned building has been renovated Pat Munger Construction Company, Inc. through a contract funded by the borough of Naugatuck.

Completed eight days ahead of schedule, Munger renovated the kitchen, deck, bathrooms, ceiling and  basement along with plumbing and electrical systems.  Deck and bathrooms are now handicap accessible and the bathrooms are connected to heating and cooling systems.

During phase one of the project, Jesse Camille’s was closed for three weeks while bathrooms, bar area and entrances were renovated.  Then, the restaurant reopened and chefs operated from a 40 sq. ft. temporary kitchen [located in a trailer] during five weeks of additional renovations.  During phase two Munger replaced the kitchen floor linoleum with quarry tile, installed fiberglass reflected panels on the walls and fiberglass ceiling tiles, and installed new sinks in the kitchen and dishwasher rooms. The new kitchen conforms to public health requirements and was brought up to code.

"This was an interesting and challenging project for us", said David DeMaio, Munger's president.  "Our triple focus included quality work, on-time completion of phase one and allowing Jesse Camille's to do business while we completed phase two of the renovation."

“There hadn’t been any updates to the building in several centuries,” said Jesse Camille's owner, Larry Erickson.  “We're thrilled that Munger was able to complete the project ahead of schedule.  Our customers are excited.”
