November "Gathering of the Church" Seeks Preachers and Musicians for Prayer Services and Worship

March 13, 2011 - PRLog -- "11/11/11, The Gathering of the Churh," the non-sectarian, interdenominational, global gathering of Christian pilgrims on the National Mall, in Washington DC; being planned for November 11, 2011, in conjunction with the US National Park Service, by One Church // One Voice, (a Christian, grassroots, non-profit organization) needs Clergypersons and Worship Artists to volunteer for the event. In order to schedule the activities of the day, which will run from 11AM to 9PM with a 2 hour clean and clear period, the organizers will need a number of speakers and worship performers, for the afternoon as well as evening worship sessions.  

The 11/11/11 event recalls the original name of Veterans' Day, 'Armistice Day,' in it's theme: "An Armistice with God." The organizing group, One Church // One Voice, has sent out a call for a servant to deliver that keynote message. Also needed are several Prayer Service leaders. Volunteers may be from any branch of Jesus Christ's Church.

Musicians, groups, bands, praise dancers, and other worship performers are also requested to volunteer their service for this event. There will be afternoon worship services, as well as a longer evening worship service. All performers will have to adhere to the sound restrictions established by municipal government of the city of Washington, DC, and the District of Columbia Office of the US National Park Service.

To volunteer, simply email onechurch.onevoice@gmail.com.  For clergypersons, indicate whether you are volunteering for prayer service or the keynote message. All clergypersons who pray will be allowed a short introductory message. Worship artists should indicate the time of the set they propose to perform, as well as what songs they will perform. Also indicate the type of sound system you will need to set up.

Global notification of this Christian event is continuing, and there will be addtional information available after June 30, 2011, when participating churches report their progress to One Church //  One Voice.
