Petzl Ultra launched with Lithium Ion pack

March 13, 2011 - PRLog -- Petzl are the market leaders in headtorches and they have recently launched their top of the range model – the Petzl Ultra.
This headtorch produces a very impressive 350 lumens of light and it is regulated (this means that the light won’t dim but the headtorch will suddenly switch off when the batteries are flat.)
The Ultra comes as a headstrap powered or belt powered unit – the belt powered unit offers a much longer battery life than the smaller battery which is attached to the back of the headstrap.

The battery for the belt model is rechargeable Lithium Ion and weighs around 250 grams, this keeps the headtorch going on full power for over 3 hours or over 30 hours on economy mode.
There are variable light modes – high power has a range of 120m whilst economy can reach 40m.
The Petzl ultra head torch also comes with a charger that should keep at least 75% of it’s original capacity up to approx 250 charges.
There is a large power switch that even the most clumsy of hands can operate and the headtorch is very comfortable to wear with a padded foam section behind the light unit.
This head torch is definitely for people who want the best. If you are into biking at night then this headlamp will make sure you have plenty of warning of what is up ahead. If you enjoy fishing then there is more than enough light for you to tie your hooks.
