Another Novel in the Barsetshire Series.

The prequel to Lord David Prosser's My Barchester Diary called The Queen's Envoy which describes the inheritance of his Title and also an unexpected job as an Envoy which leaves him like a fish out of water.
March 13, 2011 - PRLog -- Following on from the success of his first novel, Lord David Prosser has just released the second book in his Barsetshire series. In the best tradition of Star Wars this book is a prequel taking us back to the days when he first inherited the title and along with it a surprise.
Lord David who retired from working as a Local Government Officer only took up his writing career at 60 and says "It's the best fun I've ever had."
The gist of this new book which unlike most doesn't rely on bad language, sex or violence to sell the story, is that Lord David inherits a job along with the Title . His deceased cousin had been an Unofficial Envoy to HMG and Lord David is asked to continue in the role. Can he afford to turn it down?
He's a fish out of water groping his way from situation to situation with a hint of desparation but with all the aplomb and stiff upper lip he can muster. Will he cope with all that life throws at him and all the women that seem intent on compromising him?

The Queen's Envoy is available from and is a delightful read if you're prepared to laugh out loud .
