March 12, 2011 - PRLog -- Of course, you already planned for a special evening for a month. The reservation is already set for almost weeks ago, a professional caretaker will arrive just about 15 minutes and your beautiful outfit really looks extravagant. As expected, you have planned a quite an adults-only vacation, leaving nothing to a chance. Well, almost seems nothing at all. In the middle of last minute slicking, a party crashing idea enters your own mind: What if your baby cries the whole time that you are not around and thinks that you had abandoned your baby at home.

Unexpectedly a night out does not seem so exciting and interesting at all. You might as well think of scrapping all your plans. However, do not cancel those reservations just yet. Always remember that these worried feelings are usual among parents especially if you will leave your child for the first time with someone else. In addition, of course, opportunities are good that your child will experience some kind of nighttime separation anxiety; it may be in the form of a tantrum or crying. This is just a normal experience for many babies being separated with their parents whom they think are the closest.

How babies response to their separation from their parents alters dramatically from child to child.  Other will throw and wail a fit while some may take to their new caretaker right away. Mindless of the child attitude, it is a good thought to make a short, cheerful goodbye routine and stick in it. Although it is tempting to prevent a teary lecture by passing out at the back door, this will just upset your child and frustrate their sense of security. Instead, hug and kiss your child before you leave at home and tell that you will be coming soon. In addition, even in case your baby would not appreciate those kinds of words, your child will be able to understand your mood and sound, so be optimistic as well as upbeat and do not shed tears when your baby is crying to help you deal with separation anxiety at night better.
