Aquarium Retail Holdings Announces 3rd Pet Store Location

March 10, 2011 - PRLog -- Mar 10, 2011 – TAMARAC, Fla. – Aquarium Retail Holdings, Inc., which operates Allfish Emporium in Tamarac, Fla., has completed a lease agreement to open a third retail store, in Davie, Fla. The full-line pet store will become the company’s second location to operate under the brand name ‘Allpets Emporium’.  The 19,500-square-foot facility will carry dog, cat, small animal, reptile, bird, equine, and aquatic supplies, and offer grooming services. The grand opening is slated for late 2011, closely following the mid-2011 launch of the first Allpets Emporium location in Pembroke Pines, Fla.

Building on the success of its flagship aquarium store, Allfish Emporium, the company’s primary focus is to develop the Allpets Emporium brand.  “Our goal is to create a unique, neighborhood shopping experience in a larger shopping environment,” said Steve Berlin, Chief Operating Officer of Aquarium Retail Holdings.  “We want the general public to associate our store brands with colorful, beautifully merchandised stores which offer the professionalism, product diversity, and customer service that pet owners have been longing for.  Allpets Emporium will redefine the big box pet store experience.”

The store will strongly promote its dog food offerings, specifically variety, presentation, and premium brands.  Additionally, servicing the aquarium hobby will be emphasized, with the aquatics section occupying almost one-quarter of the location’s square footage.  The store will sell live saltwater and freshwater fish, and include over 12,000 gallons of aquarium exhibits and displays.  The focal point of the store will be a massive, eight-foot diameter, cylinder aquarium, featuring a variety of sharks and eels.

The lease agreement was reached with Columbia-based Edens & Avant, which owns Lakeside Town Shops where the store will be located.  Allpets Emporium will co-anchor the plaza with Super Target.
