March 10, 2011 - PRLog -- It isn’t an accident that a company endures — and even thrives — for 75 years.  It’s obvious that companies still in business after three-quarters of a century are doing things right and have established a corporate philosophy that emphasizes the core values that make them successful.
Way back in 1936, a single-truck operation began hauling cotton from the Lowcountry of South Carolina to the Grendel and Panola textile mills in Greenwood, SC.  These two textile mills provided the name for the new firm, which became the “G&P Trucking Company.”  It still operates under that name after 75 years, and of course the company has changed significantly since it began.
But for successful companies like G&P Trucking, some things don’t change. The company was founded with a commitment to taking care of its customers, and that pledge is still the cornerstone of the way the company operates today.  Some people may think it’s old-fashioned, but at G&P Trucking the traditional values such as integrity, honesty, teamwork, fairness, and character are still vital principles in the way they do business.
In today’s fast-paced transportation marketplace, with instant communications and computer-based technology making operations ever more streamlined and efficient, management at G&P Trucking also applies its time-tested values to innovative new practices.  For example, the company has developed very strong relationships in international shipping, especially to and from Mexico.
G&P Trucking has seen some difficult economic times over the 75 years, but the dedication to exceptional customer service has never changed.  From those humble beginnings back in 1936, G&P Trucking has grown into an innovative, customer-service oriented transportation firm recognized as a regional, national and even international leader.
The entire team at G&P Trucking is looking forward to providing superior service for its customers over the next 75 years.
