EventPro Strategies Prepares and Serves A Home-Cooked Dinner for Ronald McDonald House Families

March 9, 2011 - PRLog -- SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA – EventPro Strategies (EPS) employees recently took the opportunity to prepare and serve a home-cooked dinner for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Phoenix.  EPS volunteers rolled up their sleeves, showcased their culinary skills, and had the honor of spending an evening cooking dinner and interacting with the most amazing children and their families at the Ronald McDonald Cambridge House.

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) provides families with the comforts of a home away from home, giving them a safe and affordable place to stay while their child receives treatment at a local children’s hospital.  After a long day at the hospital, families were treated to a nutritious menu of Italian baked chicken, Potatoes Au Gratin, mixed vegetables, yummy cookies, and warm and delicious buttery croissants, which were kindly donated by J. Alexander’s in Scottsdale.

“The entire experience was very rewarding,” said Stephanie Swartz, Program Coordinator at EventPro Strategies.  “The families we spoke with truly touched our hearts.”

Senior Client Services Manager, Adam Partridge recalls a time when the Ronald McDonald House Charities opened its doors to comfort his family.  “Back in 2008, my wife and I were completely caught off-guard when my first-born son arrived eight weeks early and had to spend three weeks in the NICU.  We found ourselves out of town, camped out in middle-Georgia away from home during the most bewildering and emotional experience of my life.  Ronald McDonald House provided my wife and I with a bed, food, support, and some sense of normality when we needed it most.  They looked after us, so that in turn, we could look after our son.”

In addition to helping sponsor the dinner, EventPro Strategies is excited to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities pop tab program, raise monetary donations, and has already begun planning the menu for their next visit.
