Customer Service In Healthcare Gets Better With Free Training Modules From the Healthcare Warrior

March 9, 2011 - PRLog -- The Healthcare Warrior, Grant Muddle, has just released his latest free Customer Service in Healthcare training module. The module is #4 of 14 in the service standards series and, like all previous modules, can be downloaded for free from the Healthcare Warrior blog. Mr Muddle's aim is to improve the quality of customer service in hospitals and other healthcare institutions.

The fourth customer service module, entitled "Handling Requests", is a sixty minute training session for healthcare trainers and includes chat points and practical learner activities. The content of the module complements the existing free modules already released by the Healthcare Warrior. The focus is on establishing service benchmarks in the healthcare industry by adapting and reshaping those which already exist in the hospitality industry.

When asked why he releases the professional training modules for free Mr Muddle says,

"It's simply a labour of love. I get excited to see other healthcare executives implement stuff that has worked for me over the years. There's so many holes in healthcare customer service that could easily be fixed with a bit of consistent training. The patients and their families deserve better. With the rise of social media bad service also impacts a hospital's bottom line."

Mr Muddle releases a training module approximately every six weeks.

"I try my best to get one out every month or so but I've a hectic day job so the training modules unfortunately take a back seat from time to time."

So far, the training modules have been downloaded over 2000 times since their release late last year.

They complement another tool created by the Heathcare Warrior - the Cost of Poor Service Calculator.  The point of the calculator is to show hospital executives that improving customer service is important to the bottom line. It calculates the potential loss of revenue experienced by hospitals and healthcare institutions due to bad customer service.
