Carmel Valley eDiscovery Retreat Launches Its Online Community Forum

Carmel Valley eDiscovery Retreat Launches Its Online Community Forum.

March 8, 2011 - PRLog -- Carmel Valley eDiscovery Retreat announced today that its online community forum is now available for retreat registrants, speakers, sponsors and other eDiscovery industry members.

The Carmel Valley eDiscovery Retreat, scheduled for July 17-20, 2011, is designed as an interactive event that offers a collaborative learning experience. To initiate this collaboration, Christopher La Cour, Founder and Executive Director of Carmel Valley eDiscovery Retreat, has partnered with Pathable, an online-community platform designed specifically for conferences.

“Social networking has become an integral part of our professional experiences. To my knowledge, we are the first eDiscovery related event to provide a social networking tool that gives people a chance to connect before the event. Our goal is to create a true eDiscovery community.” La Cour said, when asked about the motives behind the online community.

The online community is designed to benefit anyone interested in networking. Speakers and retreat registrants create customized profiles, which include tags to identify their areas of interest and expertise. They can target conversations by tag, to reach the right people with ideas, questions, or an invitation to connect. Sponsors and exhibitors may also participate in the online community. With more than just a logo and link, each sponsor gets a designated page that includes their tags, html description, links to their website, tweets, and most important links to all the attendees at the event from the sponsoring organization.

Pathable uses advanced recommendation algorithms to identify people in the community with similar interests. It integrates with Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to notify members when their contacts join the online community. For attendees, it even prints custom badges with interest tags and a list of people to meet.
The online community is available now and experienced eDiscovery practitioners as well as novices are welcome to register and participate. http://cvediscovery.pathable.com/index.html.
