Brynwood Golf & Country Club Names Collin Torrence New Tennis Pro

March 7, 2011 - PRLog -- ARMONK, NY – Brynwood Golf & Country Club has announced the appointment of Collin S. Torrence as Head Tennis Professional for the private country club in Armonk.

Mr. Torrence was most recently with the Armonk Indoor Tennis Club where he coached women’s clinics, juniors, men and players in the Armonk International Tennis Academy. Prior to that, he was the director of the Future Stars tennis camp in Westbury, NY, responsible for overseeing all tennis pros and daily camp itinerary.

Mr. Torrence began his career as assistant tennis pro at the Indian Springs Country Club in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. A graduate of Bethany College in Kansas, Mr. Torrence held numerous tennis honors during his college years including Regional MVP (2005-2007) and First Team All American (2005-2007) where he led the team to three national tournament berths. He was named Bethany College Male Athlete of the Year in 2007. He is a resident of Armonk.

As Brynwood tennis pro, Mr. Torrence will also be responsible for running the Summer Junior Golf & Tennis Camp along with Brynwood Golf Pro Josh Lowney. The program, which is for children ages 7 to 17, consists of two hours in the morning of tennis or golf instruction followed by a 45-minute session of field sports, 90 minutes of swimming and a lunch period followed by two hours of tennis or golf instruction.
