Independent Connecticut Home Inspector Protects Client Interests

Non-profit organization encourages home buyers to practice due diligence and hire thorough, experienced, unbiased home inspectors.

The Independent Home Inspectors of North America is a professional organization dedicated to providing accurate and unbiased homebuyer information and seeks to inform prospective homebuyers of their rights, responsibilities and the inherent conflict of interest between real estate agents and home inspectors. Home inspectors who are members of IHINA are dedicated to providing their clients with an accurate, unbiased home inspection and report. Member home inspectors also pledge to abide by a code of ethics that strives to eliminate any potential conflicts of interest (such as the practice of home inspectors paying advertising fees to real estate agencies to be included on a “recommended inspector” list).

We are proud to endorse Tom Schlotter of Allied Home Inspections LLC. Tom’s training, experience, and dedication to providing top-notch customer service ensures that home buyers will receive an accurate, professional home inspection.

Tom is a Licensed and Certified Home Inspector serving Connecticut and NY and the owner of Allied Home Inspections LLC. He is also a member in good standing of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI) and the Connecticut Association of Home Inspectors (CAHI), the largest independent home inspector organization in the state. He has received additional certification from the Home Inspection Institute of America (HIIA) and is a Professional Environmental Inspector through PRO-LAB Environmental Laboratories (an AIHA accredited laboratory) and qualified to perform mold testing. He holds additional certifications from the International Association of Certified Air Consultants (IAC2) and is a member of the Inspector Platinum Group . As a member of the Independent Home Inspectors of North America he helps promote consumer protection for home buyers, provides objective inspection reports and avoids any potential conflict of interest by not rewarding or compensating Realtors, lawyers, contractors or others for their referrals to homebuyers. Tom is also a Certified Level 1 Thermographer and is qualified to perform infrared thermography inspections.

Allied Home Inspections LLC abides by the Standards of Practices and the Code of Ethics for the State of Connecticut, State of New York, NACHI, CAHI, and HIIA.  Allied strives to offer the best in customer service with free estimates, flexible scheduling (including weekends), same-day detailed written reports with photos, and most importantly, a primary focus on the home buyers best interests. They work for you and only you to provide an objective opinion about the house you are buying.
