Honor Your Favorite Nurse by Nominating Them for Nurse of the Year

March 3, 2011 - PRLog -- CORINTH – Know a nurse who has meant something to you?  Someone who eases the pain of a shot and makes you laugh at each appointment?  Country Cottage in Corinth is sponsoring the 6th Annual Alcorn County Nurse of the Year Award to recognize that extraordinary caring nurse who always helps out.  Nominations will be taken through Wednesday, March 23rd.
“We want to honor the contributions of nurses in our community,” said April Davis, Managing Director of Country Cottage.  “This is the sixth year for the award in this area, and we want everyone to get involved again and show our nurses how much we appreciate them.”
Nominations can be sent to the Cottage on North Polk Street, faxed to the Cottage at 287-7811, or submitted online at www.cottageassistedliving.com/NOY.  A selection committee of community leaders will review the nominations and select a winner to be announced at a ceremony on Thursday, April 14th.  Preliminary ceremony plans include recognition of all nurses who are nominated and a presentation of $250 to the Nurse of the Year.
“Everyone in Alcorn County is encouraged to nominate their favorite nurse,” said Davis.
