What Motorcycles Would You Consider Modern Classics?
The Modern Classics bike show is about celebrating the motorcycles of the 60s, 70s and 80s that made big contributions to their respective eras with their technology, style, performance or setting new trends. These are the bikes that made headlines. The bikes that made a difference. The bikes that you read about in magazines. The bikes you remember from the first time you saw it on a showroom floor or at the stoplight next to you. We are showcasing motorcycles that best represent their model in the best condition possible.

Which motorcycles made the list?
In order to create a list of bikes that could dare deliver on such a preamble, Martin Motorsports assembled a bike show committee of six serious enthusiasts who are collectors themselves and went about creating a list of the most iconic bikes of these decades and then went about bike hunting. The full list can be found here on the website. Agree or disagree - that’s part of the fun anyway.

What’s the concept behind The Modern Classics?
This show originated with the idea of creating a unique experience for collectors and enthusiasts of all ages to admire machinery that tells a story about the rapid movement in technology, style and performance of motorcycles over a span of three decades.
A show like this simply doesn’t exist anywhere else.

Here’s what makes The Modern Classics show unique...
For starters, it takes place indoors in a well-established and beautiful showroom that for one day will transform into a showcase of classic machinery. For Saturday March 12, Martin Motorsports is not open for sales or test rides. The showroom will transform into a museum for a day in order to showcase this classic machinery using all 13,000 square feet of space, including using the giant movie screen on the mezzanine to showcase motorcycle and racing movies, and possibly live coverage of the Daytona 200.
This show is an invitational. Each bike is selected to appear in the show by invitation only through a nomination process.
The bikes are not judged by a panel but there will be a People’s Choice Award for first, second and third place.
As most events at Martin Motorsports are, this show is for families.
