Roundtable for Sustainable Biofuels Launches its Certification System at World Biofuels Markets
The Roundtable for Sustainable Biofuels have confirmed that they will launch their global certification system for Biofuels at the World Biofuels Markets Congress.
The World Biofuels Markets conference and exhibition continues to be the leading European event where the biofuels industry meets to do business. To date, more than 1200 representatives from the world’s leading biofuels companies have confirmed they will converge on Rotterdam, the Netherlands, from 22 March to 24 March 2011.
“I am delighted that the Roundtable have chosen the World Biofuels Markets congress to launch this critical international certification scheme and it will play a vital role in demonstrating and ensuring the sustainability of biofuels as a leading solution for mitigating the impact of transport on climate change” said Nadim Chaudhry, Managing Director of Green Power Conferences.
The RSB is a multi-stakeholder initiative that has developed a global sustainability standard and certification system for biofuel production, based on years of consultation and consensus among hundreds of stakeholders worldwide, and broad support from industry, NGOs and civil society.
World Biofuels Markets Exhibition Sees a 50% Increase in Bookings
“We have had a 50% increase in exhibition sales from 2010 and we are seeing a strong resurgence in biofuels as a multitude of new crops, new waste sources and new advanced processing technologies hit the market” confirms Claire Poole, WBM Event Director.
