Snowdonia’s Magical Treehouse

If you’ve seen ‘FernGully The Last Rainforest’, or perhaps could picture yourself living on Pandora in James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’, then the picturesque beauty of Snowdonia’s National Park Treehouse could provide the perfect break for you.

March 2, 2011 - PRLog -- This uniquely designed exquisite treehouse (http://www.redletterdays.co.uk/Experience/Ref/ICNTE/A-Family-Treehouse?method=Breadcrumb) is just one of three situated at the edge of the park, and provides the ultimate way to eat, sleep and breathe in the very heart of natural beauty. We have all dreamt of waking up to the sound of gently trickling streams and rustling trees as opposed to busy, angry traffic and revving mopeds, and in the treehouse this can become reality. This awe-inspiring structure is potentially the very best place to embrace the simple pleasures in life and utterly forget your daily hassles.

Situated at the heart of this romantic escape (http://www.redletterdays.co.uk/Experience/Couples) is the treehouse’s wood burner which in addition to maintaining a warm and cosy temperature inside, also heats the accumulated spring water for your refreshing morning shower. Afterwards, the wood burner will provide a hot plate on which you can a delicious breakfast. All cooking implements are provided along with firewood and lighters for the stove.

Immersing yourself in the forest’s natural surroundings is nothing short of liberating. In addition to long walks in the woods, you can embark on exciting mountain biking adventures, kite surfing, or spend days at the nearby beaches. Though unlikely, should the isolation become a little lonely, you need only meander fifteen minutes through the woods where you will find civilisation in the form of a small local pub. But for those who would be quite happy to lock themselves in the treehouse for the entire duration of their stay, the treehouse also has a small library which provides a large selection of guides and information on Snowdonia (http://www.redletterdays.co.uk/Experience/Ref/ICNTR/A-Tre...) and the local area.

Small word of advice for techies, there is no electricity in the treehouse. Provided you are happy to spend your break detached from your blackberry, DVD player and Sky Plus, this will not create much of a problem. In its place you will find a multitude of solar lanterns and wind-up lamps which all contribute spectacularly to the soft ambience inside the treehouse. Consequently, darkness is when you will really see the treehouse spring to life.

The bedrooms are equipped with deluxe, deeply comfortable double or twin beds and are beautifully, but futuristically furnished with all the home comforts you would need for a break away. The house is fully-insulated and is especially designed to be suitable all year round and in all weather conditions; should you find yourself getting a little chilly however, extra blankets and rugs are on hand at all times to ensure your stay is as pleasant as possible. One exceptionally special aspect of staying in the treehouse is the en suite bathroom located over a small rope bridge. Whilst this might raise a few eyebrows at first, in actual fact the luxury bathroom is equipped with the very latest modern Swedish toilet and hand basin and previous visitors have reported that having to cross the bridge only further heightens the outdoorsy experience.
