Health Care and Green Industries Informational Site Launched, www.CT-NYcareers.org

Feb. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- The WorkPlace, Inc. and the Walmart Foundation are launching a new web site for residents of Southwestern Connecticut and Westchester and Putnam counties in New York, www.CT-NYcareers.org.

Finding reliable information about careers in the health care and green industries is critical.  This new web site, www.CT-NYcareers.org is a comprehensive resource for job seekers, employers, and industry groups in the health care and green sectors throughout the region.

These sectors are projected to generate tremendous economic and job growth for years to come, with 15.3 million new jobs projected by 2018, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.  Specifically, the health care sector is projected to generate the most jobs, adding 4 million by 2018 and green jobs are expected to grow 52% by 2016 with major opportunities in green construction, building energy systems, resource management and transportation.

Job seekers are encouraged to visit the site to learn more about training and job opportunities in health care and green technology as well as connect with a career advisor.  Career advisors are available to work one-on-one with job seekers to help them access training programs and the resources needed to enter and advance in these growing industry sectors.

Health care and green employers can learn about local services and resources that can help them meet their workforce needs, including how to access talent.
