Barcelona, February 28, 2011 - Softonic.com, the number one free software download site Worldwide*, announced the appointment of Steven Cranston as their new Global Sales Director. Cranston, who will join the Business division of the company, will develop and implement the sales strategy in Europe and America and will lead the proposals for key advertisers and media agencies located in these markets.

Before joining Softonic.com, Cranston was the International Media Director at R3 Media in Prague and prior Sales Vice President with the leading online marketplace for foreclosure properties in America RealtyTrac Inc., where he managed to build advertising revenue from zero to $20 million annually in three years.  Steven has also successfully lead sales teams at Realtor.com, Shopping.com, AltaVista, Cars.com, and Los Angeles Times.  Steven completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Communication at Arizona State University, holds dual US & Italian Citizenship and now makes his home in Barcelona, Spain.
