Video Features Award Winning Childrens Book Author(Dog) and Story About Leader Dogs for the Blind

Feb. 27, 2011 - PRLog -- If your not familar with Max, he is an award winning childrens book author who is dedicated to helping children manage similar experiences in their lives. Maximus, a.k.a "Max," is an English Labrador who shares stories about his real life experiences from his point of view so children can relate too.

Max has recently produced a video on YouTube introducing you to Leader Dogs for the Blind as well announcing his upcoming book "Dogs Work Too! From Max's Point of View. Maxs video features many photos of many of his animal friends from Leader Dog for the Blind.

Did you know that dogs work too? My name is Maximus, but you can call me "Max." I'm a six-year old yellow English Labrador Retriever and I just went on an adventure. I learned about working dogs, especially Leader Dogs for the Blind. As you read my story, I'll share my adventure with you from my point of view. If humans can work, then dogs can work too!

In order for Max to win an award,  People will have to search for his video and then click the "Thumbs Up" button on the bottom of his video screen.   The more "Thumbs Ups" button hits/selections Maxs receives the higher his chances of earning an award.   The recognition will help promote his childrens book about Leader Dogs, continue his fundraising efforts, and give awareness to many people unfamilar with Leader Dogs for the Blind.

Max’s first book,"Dogs Move Too! From Max's Point of View" was named a winner in the children’s category at the 2009 Beach Book Festival, received runner up awards in the children’s category at the 2009 New York and San Francisco Book Festivals, and three category finalist awards at the 2009 Next Generation Indie Book Awards.

LEADER DOGS FOR THE BLIND
Founded by three Detroiters in 1939, Leader Dogs for the Blind provides guide dogs to people who are blind or visually impaired to enhance their mobility, independence and quality of life.
