76th & State Line TITLE Boxing Club Raises $1,200 for Humane Society of Greater Kansas City.

Feb. 25, 2011 - PRLog -- The Prairie Village TITLE Boxing Club located at 76th & State Line hosted a one time charity boxing class to raise funds and awareness for the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City. The event was held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2011. A total of 36 people each donated $25 to participate. The TITLE Boxing Club location donated an additional $25.00 of each new membership signed throughout the weekend resulting in a $1,200.00 donation to help homeless pets in the area.

“One of my members approached me with the idea of doing a power hour class as a benefit for the Humane Society,” explains Kim Nofsinger, Franchise owner. “Supporting my members, our community and our furry friends as a business owner is important to me, to give back.”

The boxing class was taught by 76th & State Line TITLE Boxing Club trainer, Bigg Ron. With the help of fellow staff, he taught the boxing techniques used in the total body workouts called the POWER HOUR. Not only did each person burn up to 1,000 calories in the class, they received a Human society t-shirt and hand wraps for their donation.

“We had a great time with the participants. They worked really hard in class. We were excited to raise $1,200.00 for the Humane Society and are looking forward to presenting the check at their Pet Telethon on March 6, 2010. This will help them reach their goal of $150,000. Even more exciting, a cat found a forever home that day,” added Nofsinger.

The 76th & State Line TITLE Boxing Club was the first franchise location for the Overland Park, KS based fitness company. There are nine locations in all, six across the Kansas City metro area, one in St. Louis, MO and two in Ohio. Franchise opportunities are available and more are planned to open in 2011.
