MV Commercial Open New Truck Rental Depot in the North West

Feb. 25, 2011 - PRLog -- MV Commercial fresh from their recent £4 million acquisition of TLS recently announced the opening of their new depot in Haydock, which will service customers in the North and North West of England. The Scottish based truck rental business has gone from strength to strength in recent years. Whilst many truck rental businesses continue to struggle in the current economic climate MV Commercial have their sights set on further expansion and wouldn’t rule out future acquisitions.

MV Commercial Rental Manager Martin Shaw feels that the UK economic downturn has had a positive effect on MV Commercial’s rental business over the past 18 months. He says “As more and more firms look to reduce costs, fleet managers are less likely to entertain vehicle ownership. The downturn has definitely stimulated the truck rental market which is a real positive for our business. We provide flexible solutions on specific vehicle types typically 7.5t, 18t and 26 tonne rigids, complemented with an excellent selection of Tractor Units”. He goes on to say “the TLS deal provided us with the stock to increase our market share but more importantly it allowed us to retire older vehicles providing newer vehicles for our existing customers.

Our objective has always been to provide an unrivalled level of service to our customers and feel that having reliable vehicles and the correct coverage in terms of depots is of key importance to delivering this. We are delighted with the location of our latest office in Haydock and after several weeks of planning we are pleased that it is now fully operational. We have invested in a highly skilled team who have in excess of 50 years Truck Rental Experience, headed up by our Depot Manager: Stephen Bullen. We believe the location will add a considerable value to our existing customer base and will ensure that we have the right infrastructure and team to continue to grow and improve our business, especially in the Merseyside and Lancashire areas of the North of England.
