Feb. 24, 2011 - PRLog -- Have you ever thought about what motivates us to read?  Some want romance while others want adventure.  Many want mystery while others prefer to obtain knowledge.  But, regardless of what you are seeking, we all want to be entertained.  And that’s what motivates me to write.  I want my readers to be eager to continue the story, long for the ending, and when the experience is over, happy they took the time to read my book.

A mystery has been discovered at 121 Oak Street.  This secret has been harbored for more than eighty years, and its exposure is about to have a profound effect upon the entire community.

The story begins under an old oak tree in a normal setting much like any you would see.  An elderly gentleman with snow white hair, wearing a flannel shirt and khaki pants, sits in his rocking chair with a book in his lap.  While he would like to be able to read the story to his audience, his poor vision prevents it.  So, the kind aged gentleman becomes a brilliant storyteller.

Closing his eyes, he gathers his thoughts.  Minutes later, his porch is transformed into a magnificent theatre.  But, this is not just any theatre, for its audience travels back in time.  Not only do they hear the stories, they live them, feel them, and experience all the emotions connected with the journey.

In the beginning it seems there is a lonely old man who needs someone to listen to him.  However, as the tales come to life, it is the audience who needs the kind gentleman.  As they beg for more, the wise old man said, “If you want to hear more, you’ll have to come back next Saturday at one o’clock.  If I am able, I will be right here in my rocker.”  The crowds grow and grow.  Now not only are the children fascinated and wanting more, the parents eagerly anticipate the end of the story.

Travel back into time when the days of pirates and treasures provided intrigue for those who longed for adventure. Two thirteen-year-old boys begin their own journey and cross paths with Blackbeard himself.  At least his ghost is present.  We may never know for certain if it is really him.  These two lads fall overboard.  Now separated from their parents who have no idea where to look, Cody Tyler and Benjamin Frost seek to return home.  But, not before they experience their own adventure.

Why not join us as a white haired old gentleman brings the story to life?  If he is able, he will be sitting in his rocker on his front porch under a shade tree at 121 Oak Street.  You are certain to enjoy his story of ‘The Adventures of Cody Tyler and Benjamin Frost’, but in the end, the old man has a secret to reveal.  We want you to be there to share the experience with us.  The next performance is about to begin.  So, don’t wait too long.
