Speculation as to the reasons for the lack of invoice and payment systems and the usage thereof by Internet users in Afghanistan in the past suggests that the users who have only recently started to use broadband Internet, are not yet used to online transactions. Others argue that users are still illiterate when it comes to e-commerce and that more user education by the leading Internet Service Providers will be needed before the users will trust online invoice and payment systems.
NEDA Telecommunications, however, showed that they are not afraid of the risks by introducing the advanced VSAT solution of invoice and payment. This of course, is seen as a step in the right direction for businesses. Small, medium, and large businesses will be able to invoice clients, receive payments and make payments from remote locations. The latest addition of the invoice and payment system to the NEDA product stable has highlighted the advantages of VSAT.
Since VSAT is available just about everywhere more users can be reached. The service can also be deployed quickly even to remote geographical locations. Instead of taking months before being deployed to an area it can be done within weeks. Installation is quick and can be done within one day. Consistent high quality service is guaranteed.
Pricing is competitive and fixed, allowing for more controlled budgeting. VSAT networks are scalable ensuring that Internet Service Providers can adapt the service according to the user requirements. NEDA Telecommunications took the first giant step with their introduction of invoice and payment systems. The rest of ecommerce facilities will soon follow.
