My Mad Methods Magazine Contributor Dave Hedges to Complete 1-Mile of Kettlebell Swings for Charity
Dave Hedges, owner and trainer of Wild Geese Martial Arts & Fitness in Dublin Ireland, will be completing a 1-mile set of walking kettlebell swings to raise funds for the REHAB and HEADSUP charities on February 26, 2011.
HEADSUP is a suicide prevention campaign programme aimed at 15-24 year olds. There are now more suicides than road accidents in Ireland and HEADSUP is working to enhance young peoples coping skills and prevent them from reaching a stage where they contemplate suicide.
Dave Hedges is seeking to raise €4,000.00 ($6,480) for the charities. As of February 23, 2011, Dave has managed to raise €1,566.00 ($2,537) through off-line and on-line donations. The charities accept donations as small as €2.00 ($3.24), and every cent will be put to good use.
